The concept behind this seminar is to actively involve the students who come from different socio-cultural backgrounds, and disciplinary and professional fields. Here, students are encouraged to develop their own set of components which may broaden the official curriculum. Among these self-organised components are projects that focus on the overall framework of the course, but also modes of participation in the quality management of the course. In case of self-organised projects, students will develop an outline of the content and structure of the project and discuss it with the academic staff prior to implementation. Such a project will then be part of the official course curriculum and be supervised by one of the academic teaching staff. The project will be offered in a fortnightly rhythm and should also contribute to the socialising and networking effects of within the student group.
